He has practiced for over 30 years in Texas and is a member and former director of the Hidalgo County Bar Association.  \nDuring his career he served as Assistant City Attorney and Municipal Prosecutor for the City of McAllen, as well as in Alamo TX and Texas City, TX. He is a 20 year member of the Southern District of Texas Criminal Justice Act panel and has appeared twice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. \n\nHe has been a program attorney for Texas Law Shield, which represents members accused of crimes involving the legal use of a firearm. He has presented multiple times on related topics of Second Amendment law, License to Carry, Firearms Law Violations and Self Defense.
