She is a skilled trainer and facilitator with core competencies in development, strategic planning, and effective nonprofit management. PV has strong interpersonal skills and is able to work effectively across diverse, multigenerational workplaces.\n Currently, PV manages the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Lower Valley, Upper Valley, and Laredo markets, and is on the National Walk to End Alzheimer’s Advisory Council.\n PV is a graduate of UTPA with a BA in Political\n \nMaxine Vieyra\n Program Manager -Alzheimer's Association, SASTX Chapter\n \nMaxine has been with the Alzheimer's Association for close to 11 years, and she brings up to 25 years in non-profit management primarily providing supportive services to caregivers and seniors.\n \nIn her new role, Maxine will help increase awareness, access and reach in the Rio Grande Valley and Laredo for those living with Alzheimer's and other dementias today.  Reaching minority and underserved communities are a passion for Maxine, "I found myself an advocate of one when my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, now that she is gone, I may continue that support for others."\n
